Who I am
I am Manyanye Paul Ikome, a seasoned professional in Communication and Public Relations, with nearly two decades of experience dedicated to fostering growth, innovation, and impactful change.
As the Director of Communication and Public Relations at the Ministry of Decentralization and Local Development, I work tirelessly to amplify the economic potential of Cameroonian councils. Through strategic communication and global partnerships, my team and I ensure that the ministry’s initiatives resonate both locally and internationally.
Previously, I served as the Communication and Public Relations Manager at the Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC), where I contributed to enhancing the corporation’s brand image and strategy execution, propelling Cameroon’s agro-industrial sector forward.
My journey is one of purpose, guided by the belief that effective communication bridges worlds, connects people, and drives sustainable development.

Accomplished international consultancies (1 at the behest of the International Communities Organisation, I led a team of consultants to write a Human Resources Manual for Councils in Cameroon, 2-recently selected to present a paper on the “Embedded Patterns of Digital Infrastructures in Cameroon’s Decentralization Process” at an international workshop to be organized by the University of Aarhus-Denmark and the University of Buea-Cameroon.
